**EDIT** - Fixed. Enabling VT-D in the BIOS settings made the machine recognize the card.

Hi all,

I'm having an issue with the driver setup saying the sound card is not detected. It isn't showing up in the device manager either. I had a Asus Xonar DG whose headphone amp was dying after many years, so I went shopping and bought a Sound Blaster ZX. Initially I had the same problem of it not being detected, but a BIOS update fixed it right up. I was unhappy with the quality of the ZX and bought the STRIX Raid Pro. So today I received the card, and it's not detected when I run the driver install. The friendly little LED light on the board is on, but no dice.

Here's how I installed-

- Started machine, uninstalled Sound Blaster software/drivers
- Turned machine off, removed Sound Blaster card, restarted
- Turned off again once system finished boot
- Installed STRIX in same PCIEx1 slot, connected power
- Ran install from included disc (v1.0.9), no hardware detected

Things I've tried-

- Ran latest drivers from ASUS v1.1.7, still no detection
- Switched PCIEx1 slots
- Changed PCIE power rails out for the one on my video card (both powered the card fine)
- Disabled HD audio in BIOS
- BIOS already updated to latest revision

I haven't been able to test it on another machine, the only other one I have is my HTPC which doesn't have a PCIEx1 slot and everyone I know uses laptops or tablets.

Does anyone have any ideas before I do an RMA?

Thanks

Did you try clearing the CMOS? Also what colour is the light on your GPU? Red or white? And can you tell me what's your motherboard and PSU as they might be the problem
