New SSD BIOS settings

Hello. I have three options in my BIOS that can be changed to AHCI. They are called:
PCH SATA control mode,
eSATA control mode and
Gsata control mode

MOBO: Gigabyte p55a ud3p

Which ones should I change to AHCI?

Just asking because I have read multiple times to use AHCI... and that I may need to change my registry as well.

PCH then set it to AHCI. The esata is for external. the Gsata uses slower JMicron controller.

Ok thank you. I set it to AHCI and before windows booted it said that there is a problem and we need to restart.. so I set it back.

The bios has to be set first to AHCI then windows installed. Cant install windows in ATA mode then switch. This is why you got the problem. You have to install windows after the switch for it setup right for AHCI.

OK so I am reinstalling Windows. It currently is working on "resetting this PC" which I hope doesn't mean installing Windows because I havn't set the BIOS yet.
