I built a custom PC back in February 2016, meaning all the components are less than a year old. Back at the beginning of October, it started randomly crashing/restarting. It wouldn't happen too often but as time progressed it happened more and more frequently. Now it randomly (and I mean randomly) restarts doing pretty much anything. Sometimes it'll crash after 20 minutes of watching youtube videos, sometimes I can sit on the desktop for an hour and nothing will happen, sometimes it'll restart before I can even load up the desktop, sometimes I can load up a game click through a menu or two and then it'll restart.

Whether i'm doing something or not on my PC, it'll restart. It'll turn off for 2-3 seconds and then turn back on, but there won't be a blue error screen, like if I just turned my computer off and then on again. I cleaned out my PC, downloaded speccy, msi afterburner, and speedfan and it doesn't appear that anything is overheating. I believe it's something with the hardware, as I formated my HDD and shortly after getting to the desktop after that, it restarted/crashed as usual, so it's not any programs I had/have.

Basic specs:
CPU: i7 4790k quad core
GPU: GeForce GTX 970
RAM: G. Skills Rip Jaws 8gb dual sticks (16gb total, 2 sticks)
Motherboard: ASUS Z97-A USB 3.1
PSU: EVGA Supernova 750W 80+ Gold

Any help would be appreciated as this is quite frustrating and i'm not the most knowledgeable when it comes to repair/troubleshooting.

Do you have a other known working system to test with? If so try moving your PSU and video card to test. If the issue goes with them then get them tested. If not test you drives using the drive makers tools. Try removing a ram stick and test if you have two sticks.

Unfortunately I do not have another system to test parts with, that computer is the first I built myself and the only one I have. I have tried starting it up with 1 stick of RAM and nothing changed, it started up but still crashes at random times.
