Hello, I'll try keeping it simple but note this might not be a short read. I recently bought a new graphics card (MSI GTX 980ti 6GB Gaming) and I went to install it into my computer. This is the first time I've ever installed a new card so of course I messed up and swapped out my old card with my new one and expected it to work. Now during the aftermath I've done my research and found that was not right. I didn't uninstall my old graphics card drivers which were from my Sapphire AMD Radeon R9 380. So I booted up my system, all looked fine, then I went to install the new drivers, all seemed to go well. Then all of a sudden while trying to load up a game my computer froze. So I waited but ended up resetting my computer with the power button.

When turning my computer back on it didn't load properly and I got what I think is called the Blue Screen Of Death, where my screen had a sad face and told me about some unexpected problems and gave me an error code. This happened the next few times but gave me all different error codes. Anyway my computer managed to restart itself and I was able to log in to my desktop.

I have spend almost 12 hours on and off doing many things such as uninstalling all drivers, restarting the "new graphics card installation procedure", running the clean driver uninstaller from AMD's website as well as the DDU (Display Driver Uninstaller) that I have read a lot of other people have used. Yes it all worked and my drivers have all been successfully uninstalled however my GTX 980ti WILL NOT install ANY drivers at all, from the disc or online, without the lights of the GPU turning off and stop displaying on my monitor. The only time the card stops working is when the driver updates are in the middle of installing.

Yes I have also tried reinstalling Windows so right now as of posting this I've only got files on my computer. No apps or anything. And still no luck.

Anyway I ended up plugging my old card back in and it seems to be working like normal before I decided I wanted to upgrade. So does this mean the new card is faulty? Or is my power supply not supporting the card while it is updating? Any help AT ALL will be greatly appreciated as I've spent so many hours stressing over this issue. Thank you!
