Hi all,
I recently noticed that my fan that is connected to my radiator has started to rev up and down for no reason. I control my fans using Corsair Link, for some reason the fans fluctuate up and down. Any suggestions to fix this problem? Much appreciated!

Solution

Ah I see alright, unfortunately I am not knowledgeable of the Gigabyte manufacturer software, but you can try tweaking the settings of link so that fan speeds are either not changed, or are only changed slightly under load, I believe that link has options for fan control.

Hello!

Does this happen when you are idle on the desktop or when you are gaming?

If you are idle on the desktop then this may be a fan issue, but if you are gaming it is because your motherboard is seeing a temperature increase in the CPU so your CPU fans are spinning faster automatically.

Ah i see that sucks :(

At least Corsair have brilliant warranty so shut the system off, take the component out of the PC, and let them know about it and they will replace it for you, lifetime warranty I believe so you're all good :)

It seems to rev up due to increase of load on the cpu, any way to solve that?

Thanks!

Ah ok that's easier then, is your CPU overclocked at all?

As long as the system operates normally it shouldn't be much of an issue but it is concerning from your point of view.

If you have an overclocked CPU, try to remove the overclock and that will reduce the load and temperature, maybe use your motherboard software to control the fans on it and not Link? Could help with having a gradual increase in fan RPM that would make noise not noticeable.
