Hello, over the next month im going to be purchasing parts to build myself a PC. I plan on doing light gaming (league of legends, maybe some gta.) However the real use for this PC is for 1080p and possibly 4k video editing and rendering. Along side that I will be creating graphics and editing photos. Heres a list of the programs I plan on using:

- Adobe After Effects
- Adobe Premier Pro
- Adobe Illustrator
- Adobe Photoshop
- Cinema 4D and Maya

Heres the build:

CPU - Intel Core i7 6700k 4.0 gHz
Cooler - Cooler Master 212 Evo
MB - MSI Z170-A Pro ATX LGA1151
RAM - Kingston Hyper Fury X (2x8) 16gb kit
Storage:
- OCZ Trion 150 120gb SSD (Boot drive, my main programs and games)
- OCZ Trion 150 480gb SSD (File storage, extra space for programs)
GPU - Evga GTX 1050 Ti 1.35 gHz
Case - NXZT S340 Black
PSu - Corsair CXM 450w Semi Modular 80+ Bronze

I am aware that I dont have a ton of storage. I dont plan on keeping all my projects on this PC. If I really need it I have a 500gb WD Caviar Blue sitting around for later on.

If you have any changes/comments/questions please state or ask them!

Solution
Ok, at a quick glance, I can recommend the following changes:

- get a better cooler like Cryorig H7. This CPU can be overclocked and it should be for your intended purposes, after all.
- 16GB RAM looks way too low for video editing. 32GB would be minimum, and you will even be able to use 64, depending on the scenario.
- The PSU you picked is a good model, but for overclocking I would get more wattage for longevity - 550W would be ideal.

- Good Call on the cooler, ill look into it

- 16gb of ram is completely fine for me. My current laptop only has 4 and can run after effects at a bearable rate. I dont plan on having a ton open at once, and although it would be nice for RAM preview, im trying to keep the budget under 1k.

- I think the PSu will do fine here. Without overclocking I shouldnt be going over 300w, and even after that OC what brings it up over 450? Also this helps fit the budget.
