ADDITIONAL COMMENTS:
I am very sensitive to coil whine (migraines) noise and heat, so I'm looking for a card I won't have much trouble with that. Also, I'd love it to be cooler and quieter than my 770 which is about 42 dba and 80° on full load. I want to spend about 500€ so the higher overclocked cards are an option too.

My Gigabyte's size is the following:
L=292mm W=129mm H=43mm

The new card should be similar but I have some space in all directions.

Thanks in advance for the recommendations!

Evga cards sold after Nov 1 has the fixes for the heat issue. One of the higher rated MSI cards should be good.

Gigabyte also makes a 3 fan version which is pretty high rated.

Thanks, but are there any alternatives with 3 fans and higher clock rates? Oh, and possibly a model where I don't have to tinker around with the fan curve because it's spinning and stopping every few second.

The ASUS strix is the only one I have seen with 3 fans.
