I bought a new zotac gtx 1060 card to replace my gtx 960. I installed it and turned the system on, the display did turn on. But the card wasn't identified in device manager or in dxdiag. I tried to install Nvidia drivers but it failed and said that the driver was not compatible with Windows version but I'm pretty sure it is the right one. I haven't upgraded win 10 to 1151 build could that be the issue? I tried to look in bios to see whether my card has been identified but didn't know how to check in the Skylake bios.the display is working through graphics card by HDMI passthrough. How do I solve this issue? Motherboard has only 1 pci-e slot.
My rig has
Intel i5 6500
Asus b150M-K
8gb ram
Antec vs550 PSU

Happens a lot with the new Pascal cards, see if you can manually download the Windows 10 drivers from Nvidia. Then uninstall any drivers you still have on the system. Restart the pc, and it should let you install the new drivers. DO NOT USE GeForce experience to install right now. Just the exact driver you need directly downloaded from the site.
