Previously installed ram was 2x2gb Kingstone Blu. I have an issue with ram i recently purchased I have a P7H55-M LE motherboard and recently purchased Patriot PSD34G13332 2x4gb. Both sticks work seperately. But not together, when both are used together I dont even reach the login screen and it comes up with blue screen. This is on windows 7 64bit OS. I have tried changing the ram speeds in the bios and that didnt do anything for me any suggestions?

Solution
3 possibilities:

1. You are installing both into the same channel, causing the CPU to use single channel mode across 2 DIMMs, which doesn't do well with some memory. If you are putting the DIMMs side by side, try skipping a DIMM socket between them. If you are putting them in with a space between, try the opposite and put them side by side on the 2 furthest sockets away from the CPU.

2. It could be a bad memory controller, or possibly zapped from static. Try another CPU if you can get one.

3. It could be bad or zapped circuits on the motherboard. Try the memory on another motherboard.
