I currently have latest AMD drivers. My old GPU died and I can only get into safe mode.

Can I uninstall my video drivers in Windows 10 safe mode? And If I choose to go with Nvidia GPU do I need to do something else other than uninstalling old AMD drivers?

Solution
Uninstall all AMD Catalyst Drivers in control panel.

Then use driver sweeper to remove all remaining AMD driver trace files and click on shut down after removal for installing a new card.

Install the new card, and download the newest drivers from the Nvidia/AMD website.

If you cannot get the PC to boot in normal mode as from memory windows uninstaller doesn't work in safe mode. You can either use a video out port on your motherboard if available or wait until you get the new graphics card and perform the above with the new card installed first.
