Sorry if this is a stupid question but I am very new to pc building and I have fans on my case that have 4 pin molex connectors on them, I was wondering if through the use of molex to 3 pin adaptors I would be able to connect my fans to a fan controller.

Molex to 3-pin Adaptors For Case Fans?

Depends on fan controller. Some use Molex while other may use SATA or 3 or 4 pin fan connectors. If you connect them straight to PSU, either directly or via Molex to 3 or 4 pin adapters, you will not have any control over fans, they'll turn full speed all the time.
