Hi, I am a looking for a good, budget, PSU to go with my system, and I found these options on amazon uk and de(I live in Europe). I wanted to ask what would be the best option for a ~50 EUR PSU that has everything that's necessary, and which one of these two would be best.

From what I read I can see that while Thermaltake might not be a bad brand it has some bad PSUs. However this model, the Hamburg 530 Bronze apparently is well received on amazon, it has a good price, a 3 year warranty and is Bronze certified.

I also know that the easy answer would be the EVGA 500B, but that one is at least 10 EUR more. Is that price really worth it when compared to the Hamburg one?

Or if anyone knows of another good deal in Europe at that budget, I would be more than glad to hear it. Thanks!

My system:
Intel I7 3770
Asrock Z77 Pro3
Sapphire HD7850 2GB
16GB 1866Mhz HyperX DDR3 RAM
1TB WD Caviar Blue

Solution
haha there's usually the S12II, that's pretty cheap.

the CXM is alright. more modern internal design than the XFX not as high quality components.
but still, solid quality unit that should do fine.

Thanks for the quick reply. So, that 450W would be enough even with some overclocking for the CPU and possibly, an RX 480 in the near future? And, should I understand that those two options aren't really good?

450W should be fine. if you can pick up a 550W version (not the XT) it'll be better of course.
your card is 125W. your CPU at stock speed 71W. is 200W, adding all the other components you'd be somewhere around 300W. when overclocking I'd say you will barely hit 370W.

the EVGA 500b is pretty bad quality compated to the XFX.

I looked for an 550w model and I found this one. Is this the one you're talking about? TS Series XFX 550W

Furthermore, then if the EVGA isn't very good, should I even ask about the Hamburg?

it can only deliver 456W on the 12v rail, comes without OTP, Su'scon caps on the secondary side, only alrightish plate work. furthermore it's noisy. wouldn't recommend it.
will probably work fine for a while when not stressed, won't last long. for a bit more cash you'll get a much better unit. the XFX above served me for 6 years and is still in my old rig that's used by my mum now (rarely and without any loads) without any problems.

Got it. Them I won't bother with that one. Then it'll be either the XFX 450 or the 550 (I don't suppose that there's anything cheaper on the same quality level right?)

Also, do you know if this is the 550 model for the XFX? TS Series XFX 550W

I also found and CXM550 for around 52 pounds, and in that case I think I'll go with the CXM because It was some more room for future expansion and apparently it's also a quality PSU. The Seasonic ones, damn they're expensive...

Thanks for your help, I'll take the CXM. Btw, I found the S12II on amazon uk and the available 620w model is 73 pounds while the CXM is only 55...
