Front Panel Stuff Not Working. Case or Motherboard?

^^^ title ^^^

Case : Corsair AIR 240

Board : Gigabyte GA-78-LMT USB3

Audio, USB are not working but the CPU LED and the Power Button both work. Any troubleshooting things? What to look after in terms of replacement if need be?

If some of the pins are working I'd say it is unlikely the motherboard is faulty....normally if some of the F-pins work the rest of them do as well.

First thing I'd double check is the polarity, it's easy to get the + and - switched around and that will cause the buttons not to function. Double check the motherboard manual to see where the positive and negative pins need to go for the Power and CPU LED and have another go at installing the case headers.

Also want to bother asking is there any way testing this without buying another case / motherboard? All other cases I own are USB2.0 on the front, not sure if it's compatible for testing purposes.

I am planning on getting probably the i5 7600K / whatever it turns out being and the updated equivalent to the Gigabyte GA-Z170-MX Gaming 5, but I want to know if I have to get a different case if it is the case header. Not sure if it's able to be done.

You most likely didn't connect the wiring from the case on the appropriate places on the motherboard.

In your motherboard manual theres a guide of where to connect them.
