I am just a little worried because yea I have cloned my drive but if I format the old drive so I can just throw my movies in there will there be any issues with programs or they'll be ok because they have new folders etc?

Just be a massive headache if i did this and it's the wrong way to do things ha

The drive i cloned and the drive i cloned to are not my bootable windows drive so keep that in mind, I just dont want to lose all my programs if i format my old drive

So you just went from a secondary drive to a new secondary drive?
Did you change the drive letters around so the new one is the same drive letter as the old one?

For a test, simply disconnect SATA cables from the old drive. Does everything still work OK?
If so, wipe...

If so, wipe that drive as needed.

It wont let me change the current drive letter to something else so that I can change the new drive letter to the old one.... and yea basically wanted my os on the SSD but it's pretty small and I have most of my programs on a laptop HDD and now I just bought a actual HDD from Seagate.

So YEa I tried changing the drive letter and path to something like anything else, says some programs rely on this drive letter and then error message saying parameters are incorrect....

If I can't change this drive letter then I can't assign it to the new drive

Pefrect thank you USAFret, I went ahead and disconnected the drive then I was able to assign the drive letter to the correct letter and everything for the moment seems perfect, I plugged in the other drive again and once it was up and running I formatted the thing so everything is good to go. Thank you again for the help
