Hello.

I was planning on getting the MSI Z170A GAMING M9 ACK but I have heard that they have bad QC and the bios is not as good as the Asus bios.

I was wondering if I should get an Asus motherboard or something better, what are your thoughts on this? The motherboard as to be an ATX motherboard since it will be in a Phanteks Enthoo Evolv ATX Glass.

Thank you in advance for your answers.

just for information in differences between "Z,B,H" in 1151 intel boards.
Z : for Enthusiast
B : for Business
H : for Home
the difference lies in the price and features offered by each of the mobo.
since you're planning to use i7 7600k, I think you should use "Z170" mobo, why ??? you can check this out...

even though only show 2 brand mobo, but there's still plenty of good Z170 mobo besides those two.

Also forgot to mention when I looked at the mobos you recomended. I am going for a red and black themed build so a mobo that could fit those accomedations would be nice.

This Asus PRO GAMING is slightly red and black and is good quality.

How does the mobo compare against the Gigabyte GA-Z170X-Ultra Gaming for example or a ASUS ROG MAXIMUS VIII HERO. What is the better choice of the mobos mentioned including the Asus PRO GAMING.

Brain fart made me laugh. All the boards you are talking about are very, very good and it really depends what specific features you'll need (RAID NVME, Quad SLI, Dual LAN etc etc), because over spending on one of these boards is easy.

As far as aestheticss go, the Asus B150 Pro Gaming Aura wins imo, but the z170 version isn't quite as nice. There's quite a good comparison of Asus boards here http://www.asus.com/us/site/motherboards/Z170/compare/

The B150 was pretty nice but for me it's a toss up between the Asus B150 Pro gaming aura and the Gigabyte one. I just like the aestathics(sorry for misspellings) of it. What are the downsides of going with a B150 platform compared to the Z170? As for the features you mentioned I will only be using a single gpu and not much else on the mobo feature wise or atleast I dont know what I will be using yet. Sorry if it was a bit confusing.

z170 supports overclocking the CPU/RAM and also SLi, that's the main difference. Again, another link, but shows the difference between chipsets. The h110 is budget... https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/LGA_1151

If you aren';t using a k-series unlocked chip z170 may not be necessary, and the Gigabyte one is almost twice the price and I cant honestly see justification for that unless ovberclocking or SLi'ing GPU's. Slightly more durable components maybe.. and a SATAe port, which nobody is going to use anyway

I was planning on using the I7-6700K(Should have mentioned that). I want to overclock my cpu just to squezze in some performance in games and editing times(stuff like that). In my country the gigabyte is only 11 dollars more which I wont mind paying for if it means only a little bit better.
With this information, what is the best mobo in your opinion for me?

Well you need a z170 chipset board, that much I know, and the Gigabyte board is still very good, it just doesnt look as nice which to me is important too, but yes get a z170 and the Gigabyte board fits the bill nicely, but if you wish to spend less then there are cheaper boards available like the Gigabyte GA-Z170X-Gaming 3
