I'm really tired of the monthly subscription fees to some VPN's out there and I've found out that there are certain routers you can get that have a VPN built into it and it's free to use. If that's true, what's a good router I can get that has those capabilities? Will the built in VPN spoof my current location or will it just give me multiple different IP's? I don't really have a budget atm because I have no idea what their usual price range is but I'd love to find one in the 100-200 dollar range, however if that is not possible or is not recommended, please go ahead and give me links to better ones even if they are not in the range I specified. Any help with this is appreciated.

It is not a issue to get a router that has vpn but it will not somehow magically create a network for you that is free.

Your vpn router is going to do pretty much what the pc software does. It will connect to a vpn provider who is renting you the use of their data center and ip blocks.

The expensive part of the vpn is getting all those IP and a internet connection. If you were willing to pay enough you could get as many ip as you want directly in your house without a vpn.

VPN connections always have 2 ends. Your router needs something to connect to and unless you connect it to a friends house to share files or something you will not get the connection for free.

Have you heard about keezel? It might be something that you are looking for. Here's its review on Tomsguide: http://www.tomsguide.com/us/keezel-portable-vpn,review-3412.html and the best part about it is:
"Keezel features partnerships with well-known VPN providers such as PureVPN, LeVPN and ProXPN to ensure your custom private network remains fast and reliable."
So, I think it is what you are looking for!
Here's the link to their site: https://www.keezel.co/

My bad mate, clearly I did no research on this topic before I made this thread. I was told that you buy a router with a built in vpn and you get several IP's (was never told there would still be a subscription type thing). Now that you explained it, it makes a lot more sense. Thanks for that! Guess I'll just continue paying for vpn's I find online, you just saved me a whole lot of confusion and money.
