Before I explain everything I will list the specs I currently have since I know that usually helps.
Motherboard: Gigabyte Tech GA-78LMT-USB3
Processor: AMD FX(tm)-8320 Eight Cor Processor, 3500 Mhz
Old Graphics Card:AMD Raedon 7850
New Graphics Card: EVGA GTX 1070 Founders Edition
Power Supply: Can't find exact make and model on the supply, but it say max 500W
Operating System: Win8 64 bit

So the other night I get home from work and boot up my PC to get a black screen on my monitor saying no signal, I restarted it multiple times get the same no signal message. After a couple tries I switch change the port the HDMI cable is going into from my graphics card to my mother board and it works fine.

Seeing that the graphics card was giving no signal I figured the old card was dead and just needed a new one. So I splurged a bit and upgraded to the GTX 1070. It came in the mail today and I unplug my old one and insert the GTX 1070. Still no signal when the HDMI was plugged into the new card, so I plugged the cord back into the motherboard and it worked. I then went online to see if I needed the download the drivers first. While installing, it came up with a message saying "Graphics Driver failed to find compatible graphics hardware." Assuming I downloaded the wrong driver at first, I double checked but it was the right driver.

After some googling I see multiple threads about similar issues. I tried using DDU to wipe my old AMD drivers, and reinsert my new graphics card and boot up my PC and still no signal. I also tried disabling the integrated chip on my motherboard since I saw people saying that can cause the no signal. Also didn't work. Now it seems that if I plug my graphics card in while the PC is running, the monitor instantly loses signal and I have to power of my PC, remove the new card and the signal will come through my motherboard again. Also the letters on the side of the card do light up and I hear the fan on the card running when it is plugged in and showing no signal. I have tried a DVI cable on the new card and that doesn't seem to work for me either. Thanks in advanced if anyone has any help.

You can't download the Nvidia Drivers for your graphics card if your graphics cards isn't plugged in or recognized by your motherboard. Is your Windows 8.1 or Windows 8? What is your RAM and how many hard drives do you have? The reason why it works if you switch the HDMI cable to the motherboard, you would be using the on-board graphics instead of the graphics on your GPU. Have you tried keeping the 1070 plugged in and using the on-board graphics to see if that would still boot?
