First, English is not my 1st language, so please bear with me. Sorry for this.
Motherboard: MSI FM2-A55M-E33
CPU: AMD A4 5300 Trinity Dual Core
GPU: PowerColor HD6670 1GB DDR3
Situation: My 3 year old motherboard randomly switches between dedicated and integrated gpu for almost 2 years now. It only enables one at a time and completely disables the other. I had checked the BIOS and GPU settings (PEG and IGD - I always set it to PEG) every time this happens, and I believe nothing is changed on every event.
Initial warning though, some of my assumptions regarding the situation might sound stupid to some. Please be kind to me.
I believe this happens every time the motherboard experiences "extreme" stressful conditions. I think this is triggered every time the computer runs around 5-6 hours on 50C-70C straight. This only happens on rainy days and heavy air moisture, though I can't be so sure. This thing only happened on a summer. Also, before each switch, the Computer will literally freeze and restart if it is on, or will slow and stutter before shutdown. I tried reading each and every possible configuration problems with the BIOS and such, but to no avail.
This pc will go to my sister soon for her school work, so I don't want to retire this unit yet. Is this a hardware problem?
