I've just noticed on my motherboard that there are 2 pins missing. I don't have a CPU to test it yet, it is a maximus vii hero. Pins aj19 and aj20 are missing. From what I understand aj19 is a vss ground and aj20 is a vddq pin. Will my motherboard still work with those missing?

Solution
Well, ground is usually not that important because the socket has some more of them, but it´s very unlikely that a CPU will work on it completely without problems. The VDDQ is a voltage for the integrated memory controller and therefore very important.

You can try a CPU with it, shouldn´t be risky to do so. The motherboard could boot or not.
