If it is displaced, it is likely not connected to the solder pad on the PCB with a good enough connection to function. Moving it back does not necessarily guarantee a solid connection. Without knowing the function of this particular resistor, I cannot say if powering on the board will damage it or not.

Best solution is to RMA it.
 
The small brown thing is either a resistor or diode.

As long as the two silver solder ends are still in contact on both sides of the motherboard solder points you should be fine.

If one of them is not, then you may have to get a soldering Iron to heat the solder so you can move it back into position Lucienh.

Or send the board back if you just bought it under an RMA to be on the safe side.

That would be some very precise soldering work. Not entirely sure that would be possible without accidentally damaging any neighboring components.

I would say this falls under better safe than sorry. I personally would not want to risk any of my other components. But I cannot say for sure if powering the board would damage anything. It may work fine, and it may not boot at all.
