I built my first computer about 6 months ago. It has worked fine and been great. Until yesterday
Hello,
my mom told me she put the laundry on my keyboard and so the computer turned on, she told me it was beeping, but she was afraid of letting it on until i come back from school, so she pulled the plug and the pc shut down.

When i came home I turned it on and for a few minutes it worked but then it shut off, when i tried to turn it on again it wouldn't, it would turn off after 2 secs, so i waited 5 minutes and tried again and it worked for like 2 minutes, and this is how it is now, it works for a few minutes when it has been left for like 5 mins but if immediately, it doesn't work at all.

By the way the cooler fans get louder and louder before it turns off and i checked the bios, the temp is 70-80 (on bios).
I have the gtx 100i water cooler thing

please don't hesitate to ask, thanks for advance.

Solution
Yes there is something most likely wrong with it . The pump probably died .... Id recommend getting a cheaper placement to see if it works . YOUR system is most likely shutting down due to temperatures

a 70-80c temp in bios (basically at idle) is quite high. Have you ensured that the CPU cooler is adequately attached and is functioning properly (radiator fans spinning, pump working, etc.)?

The cooler is very tight and i got worse temps with the stock cooler but it never did this.

by the way i am using a us to eu plug adapter, maybe it caused the problem? i've heard that i need specific voltages when i buy these adapters

No, I am not immediately able to turn it on, i have to wait, I bought it from amazon which is american so they have the us plug, maybe it is because of the different voltages? because i am using a 50 cent adapter

sorry for the late reply, i didn't get a notification

Um i realized that you said your CPU Temperatures were at 80C . The Processor is probably overheating and shutting down to protect itself. I'd recommend picking up a quick replacement like a Hyper 212 or the Cryorig H7. They are on sale on Newegg.

Hey everyone, after replacing the upgrading to a 7700k with new mobo, it still wouldn't work, so i bought a cheap cooler to see if it was the problem and IT WAS!
I sent my H100i to RMA.
