Hi people

i made my first build 2 weeks ago:

Mobo: ASUS z170 pro gaming
CPU: i5 6600k
RAM: kingston hyperX 2400mhz ( 2 x 8gb )
Cooler: coolermaster Hyper 212 evo
SSD: kingston 240gb
HDD: WD blue 1tb
PSU: Seasonic s12ii 620w
GPU: (soon XD)
Case: Thermaltake commander g42

so, now i'm trying to overclock my cpu (a little) and this is what i got after read a lot in this forum :p

OC 4.3Ghz at 1.25v (set manually)
(its not a big OC, i know. but, for me its ok right now XD)

this give me
26°-30 idle
°64°-65° max temp at full load (tested with prime95 9hrs)
and 53°-54°max with AIDA64 (2hrs)

no BSOD, no crashes.

now, my questions are...

is this ok? i didn't touch anything else (except the XMP profile to reach 2400mhz in ram), just the cpu voltage and the core multiplier.
but i'm reading now about Vdroops and LLC, do i need to change the LLC level?? i've just set in auto.

any advice will be welcome xd

thanks!! :D

(Sry for my english, i tried my best xd )

Solution
So far so good. Your next task is you try to get the voltage as low as possible. Drop it bit by bit until you find the point of instability.

Your temps\voltage are 100% fine so you could easily go higher with it.

If it is indeed completely stable you could just leave it as it is. I would lower the voltage to find the lowest possible for my chip at 4.3 personally.

thanks for the answer!

still no crashes until now, and temps are even better (i just added extra case fans intake-exhaust)
i'll try to find a lower voltage.

another question: whats the range of VID core for i5 6600k? mine go between 0.730v (idle, no load) and 1.360 at full load (prime95, aida64, realbenchmark). is that ok? or its too high??

thanks again! :)
