as title says im am planning to sell my old pc not sure what i can get for it, maybe someone can help it has phentom x6 1035t 4 gb ram no hdd and a 560 ti. I am planning on buying a Xeon e3 1245(£100), MSI H61MA-E35 (B3) (£56), Kingston KVR13N9S8HK2/8 RAM 8 GB 1333 MHz DDR3(£48) then a gpu of off say gumtree for ~150, Thermaltake Versa H15 M-ATX (£35), Corsair CP-9020098-UK VS Series VS650 ATX/EPS 80 PLUS Power Supply Unit, UK - 650 W(£55) i will use the hdd from my old pc . is this worth it? has anyone got any better builds for the price etc. Opinions welcome

I understand supply and demand in your area or any area... the V2 is a redesign similar to i7 3000 series CPU's... the V3 is similar to a i7 4000 series Cpu's... just wanted you to be aware of differences and compatibility... the V2 would be the better of the two is you have the option... but not at $100 more B /

e3 1230 v2 and e3 1240 v2 would be other good ones to search for too... searching used ones, increase availability and can reduced the cost. Typically they become EBAY available when company servers are replaced or upgraded, and the systems get parted out. B /

There was a 26 watt reduction in operating temps/costs with the V2 and later models... and was a viable upgrade option for the 24/7 and large server arrays.

between the v1 and v2 there is over a £100 difference, cant make that much of a difference surely?
