Before answering this question, let me outline that if something goes wrong during BIOS flash YOU WILL HAVE BRICKED YOUR CARD.

Now, that said, why do you actually want to update the BIOS? The VRM overheating issue has not affected the 1060s because they don't draw enough power, and there's nothing a newer BIOS version would really change.

i didnt know, i think that the evga 1060 also were affected, because that ,i want to upgrade my bios or update the bios card to the newers version, my video card where im gaming its aronund 75-80- C , with the fan at 100% in afterburning, is that normal? im afraid, but thanks for the info!!

i have the case open,beacuse if a shut the door case, it takes around 82 C-also i live in cuba,its so hot around 30-32-C ambient ,i thinks its beacuse the cheap model that i brought, the evga 1060 gaming 6gb acx 2.0 (single fan) dont have heatpipes, its only the headsink and the fan, its not the super clock SC- is the cheaper ones, thanks a lot , master.
