The stock cooler couldn't cool my 8350, Corsair H55 couldn't cool my 8350, and my Hyper 212 Evo can't cool my 8350.

I'm not trying to run any OC, infact I've had to disable 2 cores just so it won't Thermal throttle under load. Nothing I do seems to fix the problem, I've tried re-applying thermal paste, using different coolers, using different fans, changing airflow directions, nothing works.

PC SPECS
MB - Asus M5A78L-M/USB3
CPU - AMD FX 8350 Black Edition
Cooler - Hyper 212 Evo
RAM - Corsair CMZ8GX3M2A1600C9 Vengeance 4x4GB
Graphics Card - Asus GTX 760 DirectCU II
PSU - Corsair CX750
Case - ZALMAN Z9 Plus
OS - Windows 7 Pro SP1

I've had this issue since I built my PC (2 years ago) and it's really getting on my nerves.
Does anyone have any suggestion as to what I should do?

I think your problem lies with your motherboard. It does not support the higher end FX line properly.

Switching to a Intel setup is not the answer to his question, it is like taking drugs for for a pain that can be prevented by a life style change.

thats a good point, i didn't look that far into it.

i had a higher end board (ASRock Fatal1ty FX990 Killer) and still had issues. overclocking was pointless. after light overclock i would throttle like crazy. not trying to be a pessimist, but that chip gave me so many heat problems I had to switch. My board's north bridge used to be way too hot to touch. If you need to upgrade your board, save up and invest in switching in my opinion. I even tried replacing the northbridge heatsink and custom cutting my case to put a fan behind the motherboard. My mosfets would be burning hot too even after the added fan. it was just a never ending struggle.

never had an issue since i switched to a 4690k, then to a 4790k.

again, just my opinion/experience. to each his own. its old tech and i wouldn't recommend investing more into it.

This one can handle the 8350.

MSI 970 Gaming Mtherboard

Your other board will never be stable even with a better cooler , it's not built thermally to handle the 125w FX chips.

Thing is, If I was gonna switch to an Intel build, not only would I have to source a MOBO, which in and of itself would cost about €130, I'd also have to buy a decent CPU, probably i5 6600K, which costs like €250. Anyways, I really need to upgrade my GPU, and I'm planning on getting a GTX 1060.
So pretty much, I'm fucked.

What would you do though? Upgrade to i5 6600K or stick with shitty MOBO and get GTX 1060?
I'd probably be able to do either.

**EDIT**
Or, I guess I could buy MSI 970 MOBO, and save up for GTX 1060 for another month or two.
