My new mobo will not support USB 3.0.Would it really matter a lot?
I will connect to external hard drives that they are all USB 3.0

How much times the speed will be suffered practically?

Will I be able to add any USB 3.0 slot card later to the mobo? Thanks !

Solution
Adding a PCI card will increase power used. Not by a large amount.

If you have USB 3.0 devices already it would be a good idea to get a card for it. The card's not too expensive. Drive specific speed can be googled to compare for 2.0 vs 3.0.

Hi. Will USB 3.0 on external drives make it practically much faster or only a little bit faster?

Would those USB 3.0 PCI card cause more power or instability to the whole system?

Thank

Hi I would like to know is there any real world significant difference in terms of speed between a USB 2.0 and USB 3.0 drive?

I know all theoretical value but I guess in reality we can't reach those ideal...

I guess those cards are not as good as the motherboard built-in usb 3.0 controller. I would not install those cards
