i5 6400, i3 6100, 1050ti, 1060, nba2k and gtaV

Which is better for playing nba2k16 and GTA V, an i3-6100 paired with gtx1060 or an i5 with gtx 1050 Ti?

Six of one, half-dozen of the other. Don't know about NBA2K16. However, for GTA V, you may want to consider that in GTA V the Core i3 chips take a noticeable performance hit compared to the Core i5 chips (http://www.techspot.com/review/991-gta-5-pc-benchmarks/page6.html)...enough of a hit that you'd most likely get similar performance out of them.

Personally, I would pick the i5/1050Ti build.

go with an i3 be enough power on tap for most games out the i3 arpe under rated for gaming make sure you have enough ram 16gig be fine go with a 1060 so you have enough power on tap for other games in time
