BIOS update regarding Skylake BCLK overclocking.

So right now I have a cheap little B150 motherboard and I'm having a problem with it and needing to update my BIOS to fix this problem (BIOS update addresses the problem). Well Intel had had all the Motherboard manufacturers update their BIOS CPU Microcode to prevent BCLK overclocking on Skylake.

I plan on getting a Z170 motherboard during Black Friday however if I was to flash my BIOS now will that prevent me from BCLK overclocking my Skylake on my new motherboard? I'm not a expert on these kinds of things, I assume this would just prevent BCLK overclocking on this motherboard but for all I know it just might write something on the CPU to prevent Non-K overclocking.

Will I be safe to BCLK on my new motherboard after I get it or is this patch a patch to the CPU (yes I know this problely sounds stupid to someone out there) but I can't find anything online regarding it the BIOS update only effects the mobo or the mobo and CPU.

Thank you all for your time!
