Hello i would like to build a pc myself but I really don't like the downloading software part. The store is providing a service on building and downloading software for 20$. However I want to build it myself. So my question is is it possible to pre install OS into my hdd?? so when I boot up my pic the software part would just be done by the store.

Solution

You need to pay for the OS either way.

And when you buy some new application or game, what will you do? Take it back to the store and have them install it for you?
No, you have to do the install on the system once its built.
Im sure if you built it and brought it to them they would install it for you, they would get the better deal (less work).

Installing windows is not very difficult, you only have to follow the on screen instructions.

No, that will not work.
The OS needs to be installed in the system where it will live.

The OS is installed on the HDD (or SDD).
But when you install it, it talks to the actual hardware on that system, and configures itself for that specific hardware.
Move that drive to a different system, and there is a LARGE probability of it not booting.

Sometimes it works, sometimes it does not.
But do not pay someone $20 for a maybe, that you can do completely with click, click, click.

Additionally, it is not only the OS that needs to be installed.
You also have to install all the drivers for your hardware. Which will not exist on that system at the shop.

The problem is it's not just a few click. I need to pay for an OS , download it, put it in a usb drive then put it in my pc. And installing it. That I wouldn't say 3 clicks....
