These are slick specs, I think you should be fine. Lots of modern games some run, some will not. Some games nowadays are demanding with requirements, that's all, but you should be fine for a good amount of games, I would suggest upgrading the CPU and GPU in the future, not like immediately or in like a few months, but maybe in a few years like 2-4 years, but overall, you should be fine

No, that is not a good build.

Personally I wouldn't listen to the guy who suggests the 3GB 1060 and currently owns a 2GB 760 he was already fooled before haha.

Here is THEE best bang for buck build for 600$

Get the first build suggestion with the 1060. DO NOT bother with the RX 470 toot recommended. My friend got sucked into that trap and it was the worst experience he had, and performed worse than his GTX 970. I told him to RMA it and get a 1060 or 1070 instead, and newegg was nice enough to let him outside of the return date.

You could also try toot's suggestion of motherboard and CPU. Just make sure you get a GTX 1060 though. AMD has been struggling to provide any level of quality control and proper game support for awhile now. They are budget for a reason.

This has got to be the most biased comment I've ever seen. I could say Nvidia had a driver update a few months ago that destroyed several peoples entire pc's
I could say EVGA's current ACX 3.0 coolers are causing house fires and GPU's to burn.
Nvidia isn't your shining angel they have issues aswell, both do.
Also Nvidia's legacy drivers are terrible thats why I brought up that 760 comment

Also your friend isn't too informed if he thought a 470 would outperform a 970 it's slower as of now.
