Basically here's my Rig ;-

I7 3770k
Corsair H80i GT Liquid Cooler
16GB DDR3 Gskill ram
B75m-d3h Motherboard
AMD RX480 Sapphire+Nitro OC 8GB Gpu
Corsair 650W PSU
Dell ST2220L Monitor

Basically i am gaming at 1080p @75hz , and so far i could run all games at ultra and my CPU would not cross 55 degrees, and Cooler wont cross 40 degrees and GPU never crossed 68 degrees... Even on 5hr session of Witcher 3 on Ultra the peak temperature was 68 for GPU.

But today i got gifted shadow warrior 2 and i played it for few hours then i realised that my CPU was at 68 Degrees and Cooler was 48 Degrees, and GPU went 78 Degrees as well...

So i tried other games and it was the same result as before, and i tried booting this game again and it was same 65-68 CPU Cooler 45-49 , GPU 78.

It is only this game in which it goes that high, not even BF1 , Titanfall , COD IW, or witcher are making them that high.

So just wanted to know what is a Safe temperature for CPU/Cooler under heavy load like i guess that game gives somehow.

TL;DR - in all games CPU- below 55 , GPU - below 68, cooler below 40, in shadow warrior they cross 66,75,46 respectively.

Whats safe max temp for CPU/Cooler, for GPU i know that 80 is still considered safe and stable so yeah , thanks for any help boys

xSagaRx,

Your Core temperatures are good, however, "gaming" is not a valid metric by which to gauge CPU thermal performance. Use Prime95 Version 26.6 Small FFT's. Do NOT use any later versions. A 10 minute run is plenty of time.

Prime95 v26.6 - http://windows-downloads-center.blogspot.com/2011/04/prime95-266.html

Here's the recommended operating range for Core temperature:

80C Hot (100% Load)
75C Warm
70C Warm (Heavy Load)
60C Norm
50C Norm (Medium Load)
40C Norm
30C Cool (Idle)
25C Cool

Core temperatures in the mid 70's are safe, so just keep it under 80.

It's all explained in this Sticky...

Well the max "recommended" temp from intel for your CPU is 68 degrees, but you wouldn't necessarily want to go much higher than 70 degrees, anything more would really be considered unsafe.

Sorry, but it's not quite that simple. Intel's "Tcase" Thermal Specification refers to "CPU" temperature, NOT "Core" temperature. It's a common misconception.

Please read the Guide. Pay close attention to Section 8 - Power and Temperature.
