I built a cheaper PC than I wanted over a year ago and am looking to do the real deal this time, the thing is so much has come out since I knew what was best for my needs.
I am looking for a PC that can handle a heavy workload and some workstation tasks well, as well as being a pretty good machine for gaming. I settled on a cheaper AMD build last time and kind of regret it.
I have put aside around £1200-1300 for this build and would like to at least get an i7, 16gb ram, and a 1070.
I also need to get an OS, decent mouse and keyboard, a nice 1080p IPS monitor with low enough response times for a good gaming experience.

Anywhere but the UK and that would likely be enough, but I am finding it hard to get this price range and keep top quality products throughout without skimping which I wasn't expecting for that budget.

Any help or suggestions appreciated.

I assume a 4790k would be a better bet than the 6700k for a cheaper build but am not overly sure.

If your going to build a thousand dollar plus PC, might as well shell out the money for Windows.

Its worth it.

Really nice looking build to go off. I have still had to bump the price of the build a bit because I should really get an SSD as well.
How does this look:

Little worried about that Ripjaw and if it will get in the way of the 212 evo as I know there use to be some issues with that.

I am thinking of using the two supplied fans, and adding two to the front panel and one to the top panel creating a positive pressure set up. Still not 100% sure what the best is for my build. I went with the Fractal instead just because i'm not a huge fan of windowed cases unless it is built to look good, and the extra sound dampening should be a bonus.
