Hi everyone...
I have an issue that I have never ran across before and I need some guidance.
I purchased an ST32000645NS 2TB hard drive and had just done a fresh install of Win 7 Ultimate.
This computer is only to be used at night in my bedroom for an internet media computer.
This is an older Gateway SATA II desktop computer with 3Gig of memory and an AMD Tri-Core processor.
I can not get it installed correctly. Following is the issue...
This drive IS NOT the boot drive.
When I hook it up and boot the puter and go into the bios, the bios can see it in the area where it just shows found hard drives. When I go into the area where I can set the disk boot position, it is not there.
When I boot into Windows, Device Manager see's the drive and shows the "this device is working correctly" message.
But the drive DOES NOT show up in the My Computer area so I can not use it.
Also the drive runs really, really warm. More so than I can remember being used to.
Any ideas guys/gals?
