Hi guys, my display crashed on me while playing some games, I think my GPU might be dead.

Here is what I am experiencing:

1. The pc will not boot into windows with the GPU drivers installed. I get a black screen after the windos logo appears.

2. The pc will boot into safe mode but it does not look right.. http://imgur.com/a/w8V29 the same green lines can be seen in the BIOS.

So far to fix it I have tried the following, all my efforts have been unsuccesful:

1.Booted into safe mode in order to uninstall the display drivers, the booted the pc normally to install the newest drivers. As soon as the installation started the screen turned black.

2. I have tried to change the PCI-e slot of the GPU.

3. Checked the PCI-e contacts on the GPU and MOBO, as far as I can tell they all seem fine.

My graphics card is a radeon r9 270x, unfortunately I do not have another system to plug the card in, neither do I have another card to replace it. Do you guys think it is a hardware issue? Is there anything I can do to try to give my card some extra lifetime? Thanks in advance for any responses!

Solution
Looking at your screenshot my guess is a Vram module has gone bad. Unfortunately if this is the case there is not much that can be done for it.
