new cpu is worse than my old cpu

i just bought a a10 7850k and it makes no difference on games like arma 3 and skyrim. on games like gta 5 i get worse than my old cpu (a6 6400k). I dont understand why this is happenening so could someone please help.
specs
A10 7850k
gtx 750 ti 4Gb oc edition
8 GB kingston ram

Arma and skyrim are very single core heavy and those two CPUs have the same single core performance.
GTA v though should be running better,did you make sure to go into the bios and reset it to default?The bios might still be setup for dual core instead of seeing all 4 cores.

after this stability test i will tell you if it made any difference
i think it has made everything worse
task manger is saying i have 1 core
my games lag more (i cant even get above 30 on the lowest settings)
