Hi everyone.

I've recently built my brand new pc primarily for gaming.

I've connected the source panel plugs.

I've connected the large power connector for the motherboard.

I've connected the cpu power cable.

I've connected the USB 3.0 cable.

Ive connected my cpu water cooling unit to the CPU_FAN header.

I've connected the dual fans from the water cooling unit.

I've also connected something called AC '97 into a header labelled AATP

My system
Corsair vs550 psu
Asus z170 pro gaming motherboard
Intel i7 6700k cpu
Crucial ddr4 8GB ram
Asus geforce 210 512mb (temporary)
up here technology 240mm cpu water cooler
SanDisk 240GB SSD
1TB WD HDD

I have no idea about the wiring.
I've done the tests for the system speaker to test if the motherboard is working.

The motherboard is working (all LEDs are flashing, all fans are working and HDD is working) I tested this by replacing the ram into a different slot.
The mother board gave me the 1 long beep and the 2 short beeps (notifying me that the mother board is active and working) showing me that there was a problem with the ram.

I put the ram back into the correct slot and the beeping stopped. Great.

But, the problem is still there. So I did some research in to resetting the bios by taking out the on board battery for the CMOS. I left it out for 5 minutes and replaced it in its slot. Turned on the system, everything works, but the video.

In addition to the motherboard testing I also shorted the two pins labelled CLRTS. Didnt work.

With the gpu, I know it's awful; but temporary. I've connected the vga and hdmi to the card itself. I've connected the vga and the hdmi to the on board. Nothing.

I've also bought a external disk drive for the Asus cd support disk in an effort to get something out of my system. Nothing.

I really need help I'm completely out of ideas. I just need the system to input the video on the monitor.

P.S there are four vertically alined small red LEDs on the right hand side of the mother board, labelled from top to bottom: BOOT_DEVICE_LED, VGA_LED, DRAM_LED and CPU_LED. when i previously tested the motherboards ram sensors (the beeping) the DRAM_LED light will be on. When i fixed the ram position into the right slot and turned on the system (with the beeping stopped) this same light (DRAM_LED) will be activated. also, when i turn on the system, two lights will activate; the CPU_LED will activate and turn of, then the DRAM_LED will stay on constantly. I am not sure what this means. Answering this part of my entry will prove helpful.

P.P.s the monitors I have are fully working.

Every reply, every comment will be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

The asus boards usually have MAI American megatrends bios. Does yours? For All Ami bios the beep code you exprierence dis An error was encountered in the video BIOS ROM, or a horizontal retrace failure has been encountered. Possible the bios on the gpu is corrupt or the gpu is faulty.
Take out the gpu and use the on boards for gods sake. It will do better than your 210.

I've only ever had one type on beep on my pc (one long, two short), and I've fixed that by adjusting the position of the ram. one more thing, where can i go to find out if i have the American Megatrends bios. I'm from UK by the way.
