550w would be about right. here are 2 options with the corsair being the cheaper option but for $10 more you get top quality gold rated EVGA G2 550w

Semi-Modular means that you have some cables fixed, the ones that you certainly need for any config(ATX, EPS etc.) and the rest are detachable so you only connect the ones you use.

bronze/silver gold refers to the effeciency of the psu. how much of the power from the wall actually gets used vs wasted as heat. lower rating = more wasted power though it is literally pennies per month overall for a normal system.

semi modular means only the main mobo power cables are attached to the psu, the rest you attached only what you need. keeps the clutter down from inside the case. fully modular means not even the main power is permanent. though you will use it anyway, it comes out of the psu as well.

yah for only $10 more it is a bargain

your going from average psu (but totally capable) to a top quality premium psu for only $10. hard to say no to that with the rest of the system being so good.

hhhhmmmmm did not notice locked cpu. so yah the mobo is overkill as is that massive air cooler. it is awesome for sure but not really needed for a locked cpu. could save enough to move up to a custom 1070 instead of the founder's edition for the cost of that cooler. be a cooler quiter gpu that way.

I'll just keep my current motherboard. And what other versions of the 1070 would you recommend? Any specific brand to watch out for? And what is the difference between the founders and any other model of the 1070?

you can grab any of them really. the EVGA FTW cards are having some problems with getting hot but they are giving away free thermal pads for free to fix it. if you don't wish to "fix" a new card, then go for any other one. the SC cards from EVGA are good as are the many other ones out there.

the difference is cooling mostly for the other cards as well as noise levels. you'll get a small performance bump do to being cooler with the custom cards and they are generally cheaper than FE cards anyway. mostly a no brainer there.

since you appear to want to stick with amazon. this Gigabyte G1 card for $408 is a top quality choice that is highly respected http://pcpartpicker.com/product/YpH48d/gigabyte-geforce-gtx-1070-8gb-g1-gaming-video-card-gv-n1070g1-gaming-8gd

plus it saves $70 or so over the FE card you chose. or if you drop the uneeded cooling and expensive mobo you can move to the 1080 G1 card and actually be cheaper than what you started with and you get a 1080 instead of a 1070!!

-1 for the MB above. Get one that has both 4 RAM slots and an M.2 slot, like the one i linked above.
