Hello,

I'm wondering if anyone has successfully used the Corsair Vengeance LED RAM with the Asus Rampage V Edition 10. It pops up on Corsair's site as compatible with the board but I have read a couple of places where people have said the Dominator RAM and some of the Vengeance RAM doesn't work with the X99 STRIX or Rampage V Edition 10. I don't want to spend this kind of money if it not going to work.

Often people get a new Z170 or X99 and have memory problems because the mobo comes with an older BIOS and/or they don't know what they are doing. Many still believe that if the mobo supports the DRAM's data rate, then it should work...period...they don't realize that the primary factor in running the DRAM, is the MC (memory controller) located in the CPU. Oft times when getting higher end DRAM it may well take a bit of an OC on the CPU to run the DRAM at a given data rate
