Hi all,

Just looking at some guidance as I'm new to PC gaming and only have a basic knowledge.

I run with

AMD FX 8 core 8350 4ghz CPU which is water Cooled,

Asrock n68c-gs4 Mobo

EVGA 8GB SC GTX 1070

The usual SSD 120gb and a 2TB HDD and a 1080p Hanns G Monitor. I'm currently running with a 500w PSU and want to up it to benefit the GPU more as it needs as minimum of 500w.

My question is, will a Corsair RM850 850W Fully Modular ATX 80 PLUS Gold Power Supply be enough or should I get a 1000w PSU?

Many thanks.

Solution
You really only need a decent 450/550w psu. Get the Corsair RM550w and you'll be good and save some bucks, the 1070 is really poweful but also really efficient. I run an i7 4790 + 1070 on a 550w psu aswell with no problems :)

Though the 500w you have might be enough aswell, what model is it?

It's an Integrator 500w 80 plus bronze. I got the whole system pre built. Was good money and don't research but then decided to get a 1070. Hopefully this will reply to you

Ye, I decided to buy a £10 watt reader and I ran Rise of the tomb raider 20th anniversary maxed out and was getting average 45fps and using no more than 330W! :)
