so I was wondering about volts vs amps on a computer psu. lets take a look at this psu specs. (http://imgur.com/a/oe8JJ) Now looking at the chart, it show it has 62.5 Amps on the +12V rail. so if I hook up a multimeter on volts I should see 12V +/- and if I was to measure for current I should see 62.5A on the 12v rail right?

Solution
Not quite. It depends on what you're plugging into it.

62.5A is just the maximum amount until it triggers overcurrent protection. You should still see 12v with your multimeter though.

ok dumb question if hypothetically I was to touch the 12v wired and a ground and became part of the circuit will it send its max amps in me through the 12v wire?
