RCA Cambio 101v2 problems

Saw an earlier thread on this, and I'm having similar problems since Windows updated to 1607 from the original 10 that it shipped with. Key points: since the update, the power switch doesn't work (though the reset button on the back will turn it on), and when the keyboard is plugged in the display goes sideways to portrait mode. Without the keyboard, as a tablet ony, screen rotation works fine, but with the keyboard auto-roatate is locked & greyed out; manually switching to landscape mode works, until the next time the computer is reset (to start it) or unplugged from the keyboard. Strange. I downloaded the Mediafire drivers package linked in the previous thread, but haven't installed yet. The Intel driver package linked in the previous post cannot be found any more at Intel. Oh yes: since the update, the keyboard is kind of funky, especially backspace. Anybody else with this problem and, hopefully, a fix? Even if I could get a copy of the original image, it wouldn't help because Windows would auto-update again, so I need a fix that works in 1607.

Solution
FINALLY it seems stable. W10 Anniversary Update messed up several things. Still not perfect, but usable and predictable. What I had to do after the update was:

* Update firmware (via Device Manager)
* Update video drivers (from Intel)
* Make sure Screen Rotation *is* locked when using the keyboard - if it's not, it'll switch to portrait orientation on next shutdown/startup cycle.

Still glitch: auto-rotate works great in tablet mode (disconnected from keyboard) but must be locked in landscape mode before shutting down, reconnecting keyboard, and starting up again. Even then, it will sometimes switch an have to be manually changed back. Glitch, but livable.

BTW, for those needing other W101 drivers (which I didn't), they're at RCA...

Well, it looks like I *may* have fixed it myself. It's now working, both the power button and the screen rotation (no longer locked/greyed out, and when lock is turned off it switches properly to the keyboard/landscape mode). This is in Win10 1607 after a forced update that broke things.

* Go into the Device Manager. Must be logged in as Administrator - which you are if you log in with your MS Account.
* Locate "Firmware".
* Click on "Update Driver." Confirm as needed. Restart is required to do the job.

Chances are your firmware will then update. It takes along time to download, then the restart takes hours. Be sure it's plugged in.

* On startup, you get a sideways screeen (with the keyboard connected) that ends with "press enter to update" - press Enter!
* After some more fiddling, the Windows lock screen comes up in Portrait mode but quickly switches to Landscape as it should.
* Log in to complete everything.

When you're all done, the "Firmware" item in Device Manager should contain an entry sayng "RCA INC System Firmware 0.32" at least as stated in mine.
Cheers!

Yep - apoke too soon. After using as a tablet for a while yesterday (after the update), this morning, rotation *with the keyboard on startup* failed again. Locked in portrait mode with slider greyed out. At least the power button still works. :ange:

For future reference, I prepared a zip file of all the RCA drivers plus the Intel driver package.
