I recently bought a budget build for myself, which the CPU was an AMD Athlon X4 880k @ 4.0GHz, but I'm getting feelings I'd need to upgrade, as this may simply just not be good enough for the games I aim to play on high settings with my rx 470, such as GTA V, Arma 3, Battlefield 1, dishonered 2 etc..

Build:
CPU: AMD Athlon X4 880k
GPU: Nvidia GTX 750 Ti (soon to be radeon rx 470)
mobo: Gigabyte F2A78M-HD2 AMD FM2+
RAM: 2x 4GB module DDR3
PSU: XFX TS 430w

Solution
It depends on the settings you're ok with; it should be fine for all the single player games you have listed. I'd imagine it's not going to cope very well with 64-player in BF1, though. Certainly it's enough to play them but you will experience more frame drops than you would otherwise with a more powerful CPU.
