Plugged the 6+2 pin instead of 4+4 into CPU power connector

First build, thought that the 6+2 is the same as the 4+4cable and it fitted perfectly. When tried to start the PC nothing happened. No beep, no fans no smell. After researching a bit I found out that I should have used the 4+4 connectors. I changed it but nothing happens. The led around my power button works now, that is the only improvement. And also I hear a silent noise from the PSU.

So are my mobo and/or psu dead now? Is it possible that cpu vga broke as well?

Thanks in advance!
