I have a MSI GT70 Dominator Notebook with a NVIDIA GeForce GTX 970M GPU... Would it be possible for me to upgrade either the GPU or the Video card that i have, if so what are my options and what would I need to do?

Hello.
It is possible to change the GPU in this laptop. But there is no available GPU that will increase your performance.

The GTX 980M can be installed in this computer, but the power draw is too great and it overheats, which can (and probably will) break the computer. Also, drivers might be an issue.

I highly suggest keeping it as it is, or upgrading the whole laptop.

It will cause the system to be unstable. That is the drawback of Notebooks/Laptops when compared with PC.
