Unsure if I need a new GPU or PSU - PC rebooting when launching games

Hello, my pc is a year old and just started with an issue where it will instantly reboot itself as soon as a game is launched, or when entering a game from menu. (I tried Overwatch, Mirrors edge and Borderlands 2)

Firstly I did a clean install of all the latest Nvidia drivers, I have also re-seated my GPU/power leads and ensured my PC is free of dust (it is very clean on the inside as I keep it on my desk and it is only a year old) I also ran Prime95 and everything was fine there.

Finally I downloaded FurMark and ran two tests at 1920x1080; the first time my pc rebooted itself 6 seconds in the test, and my gpu temps didn't go beyond 40° on HWmonitor. I tried a second time an hour later and it rebooted less than a second after I hit the go button..

In any situation, my GPU isn't even getting the chance to overheat or work itself, which leads me to think it is the PSU. I have a 550 watt PSU so I'm wondering if that is too low, but I've had this rig for over a year now and this problem just suddenly started today.

So, while I'm leaning towards the PSU being the culprit, I don't want to spend money until I am confident which hardware is causing the issue and I'm not sure how to test further to rule out the GPU being faulty. Does a GPU's power consumption remain constant or does it fluctuate depending on usage? Any thoughts/advice?

Thanks

I went into the bios. My cpu temp is idling at 35° and my overall system temp is at 33° Unfortunately I can't see the gpu temps from bios but both MSI Afterburner and HWMonitor both tell me the gpu is idling at 30° right now so all temps seem fine.

My gpu fans are turning just fine too. As said previously my gpu isn't even getting the chance to heat up as any gpu intensive programme instantly reboots the pc on launch.

As for the voltage, I don't really know what to look for so I've attached a photo with the information from my bios.

everythings look good...
can you go back to the bios and select F8 ''optimized default'' and save/exit
and see if you still have the issue

if still not work , remove cmos battery and put jumper at clear cmos on the mobo for 5 min
after put it back the cmos bat and jumper like it was before and give a try

Update

So I actually managed to get into a game, I played Overwatch for about 2 minutes while monitoring temps and here's what happened:

My pc case was open and I could hear a faint, high pitched whining sound coming from the gpu which I hadn't heard before. The gpu quickly reached 64°; it has never been that hot, or gotten hot so fast. The game itself played fine for those few minutes, however the moment I alt-tabbed to windows my PC rebooted itself.

Edit: I only just saw your reply, I will try that now

Tried optimized default settings and clearing the cmos but neither worked

No, I have never overclocked or installed any overclocking software. I think my best bet is to get hold of another gpu and/or psu and see if the same problem occurs

I removed my gpu and the same problem of rebooting was still occurring on integrated graphics, except this time it would reboot for seemingly no reason. I could run Overwatch on intergrated albeit low settings with no problems though..

I bought and installed a new PSU today and that seems to have done the trick. I put my graphics card back in and everything is working perfectly; been able to launch and play any games without any reboot issues.
