Can "GTX 1050 TI 4gb" run on a 280 watt PSU?

Solution

Sorry about that. They have that big green button right below the post. I sometimes hit that instead of reply.

Anyways, YES that PSU will power everything perfectly. The 1050 doesn't need any PCIe supplementary power cables but that one has one available.

Yes, I tried that and it said that my psu will use 239 watts on load. But I want to make sure that my psu won't explode.

That's a really bad idea to attempt to use a PSU that's under the manufacturer's recommendation. The manufacturer recommends a 300W PSU for that 75W card. Even a budget PSU like http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817438012&cm_re=EVGA_500W_80%2b-_-17-438-012-_-Produc($29) will be safer than trying something that will most likely work but isn't safe. A refurbished PSU like http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817438081&cm_re=EVGA_400W-_-17-438-081-_-Product is smarter than playing the what-if game. When $20 stands between me and the right thing I would choose to wait until I could afford the proper PSU.

You need to be aware that that's the PSU's max output. Look at some PSU's like the EVGA 500W. Just click the link below. See that 80+? That's its efficiency rating. PSUs don't always supply their max output 100% of the time. There will be fluctuations.

Yes, you're welcome to post links. You can even post relevant pics. Look at the tools available while you are answering the question. See that icon that looks like a Polaroid? If it's a direct link the a pic(BMP, JPG, PNG etec) the pic will show on the page

. See that icon that looks like chain links? Never guess what that one allows. Of course. I usually just copy and past links.
