Better is not a question. If you have no OC capable cpu, or don't ever plan to OC, the B150 is better suited as its cheaper. If you want the best audio or need more fan headers the Z170 is better. If you must have M.2 capability, the Z170 is the only option. It all depends on exactly what you need.

What's better, a mini-van or a Ferrari. Everyone automatically assumes the Ferrari is better, but if you have 3 kids and a dog, the mini-van is a far superior choice.
