Hello, I have had an issue recently where I turn on my pc and after I see the screen which displays the asrock mobo logo (i.e. screen which tells what to press to access the bios), my pc automatically shuts down, this happened a few days back and today. However, I can restart it immediately afterwards with no issues (for now...), and can game, browse the web, etc.

I was wondering what could be the issue? everything seems to be running fine and at cool temperatures, and I have seen no hardware failure. I dont think this was a power surge related issue as it happened twice now and both times it was at the same instance during pc start up.

Components include:
OS: Windows 10 64 bit
EVGA g2 gold 850 watt power supply
MSI Gtx 970 sli (not overclocked)
Asrock x99 extreme 4 motherboard
crucial ballistk (4x4) 16 gb ram 2400 mhz
samsung evo 850 250 gb
western digital black 1 tb hdd
intel i7-5820k processor

Solution
The first thing you'll want to check is to make sure that you have spacers between your motherboard and your case. If not, then your motherboard could be shorting when booted up.
