Is 80c hot for my GPU? (MSI GAMING X 1070) Not overclocked

Playing DOOM 2016 on a 144hz monitor with ultra settings.

I have a MSI GAMING X 1070 with an aggressive fan curve, no matter what I change in the curve the degrees seem to be the same.

Card stays at around 50c until I go into game then it jumps to 70-80c and usually doesn't go past the 80c mark.

Is this a dangerous temperature for the GPU? Will these temperatures harm the lifespan of the card? I just sank 400$ on this beast and I don't want it to die early on me.

60hz = 62c no matter what, however it's so slow and almost unplayable after using a 144hz setting.
100hz = 70c
120hz = 75c
144hz = 80c

Solution
It's not dangerous, and have you checked to see the clock rate as you make your fan curve more aggressive? You have a misnomer in your title. All 1070's are OC'ed. They OC automatically to what ever the card can handle based on it's temperature and power draw. You increasing the fan curve only allows it to OC higher on its own.

Sorry about that, I meant manually overclocking it via msi afterburner. Appreciate the help.
