First, please keep any "You shouldn't use a controller on PC" comments to yourself. I play on a couch and I'm very competent with a controller, I'm not switching to keyboard 
My motherboard lacks bluetooth so I bought a cheap "Grandcow" bluetooth 4.0 USB adapter from Amazon to use my Xbox One S controller with my PC. It works fine, Windows 10 found the driver right away and it connected to the controller no problem. It works fine for games, but after a few minutes in the games will get random and sever FPS drops (from a solid 60fps down to the low 20's.
As soon as I remove the bluetooth adapter the FPS goes right back to a solid rate again.
I'm wondering if this is just a driver issue with the cheap bluetooth adapter I bought, or if it's like this with the Xbox One S controller drivers in general... again, this has never been an issue with my standard Xbox One controller.
Anyone here have any experience with the Xbox One S controllers?
My system specs;
Intel i7 3820 overclocked to 4.2ghz with an AIO
Asus Sabertooth X79
2xSLI 980 Ti
16GB Corsair XMS3 1333mhz
Samsung Evo 850 250GB for OS
Adata 480GB SSD for game drive
Windows 10
